Camille Tucker - Screenwriter/Producer/Consultant
Camille Tucker is a screenwriter/director/producer/actor. A graduate of UCLA with a degree in English/Creative Writing, Camille's first job in the Entertainment Industry was as a runner at Walt Disney Studios. In 1992, along with her former writing and producing partner, Kim Greene-Williams, Camille co-wrote and produced "Sweet Potato Ride," a short film Executive Produced by Bill Duke (PREDATOR, DEEP COVER, SISTER ACT II). This short launched Camille into what would become a very prestigious and unprecedented career. In what would seem to some a Cinderella tale, Camille and Kim were blessed to meet Robert DeNiro, who saw their short and was so impressed that he offered them their first film deal.
During her career, Camille has sold 5 screenplays, a TV pilot and was hired to adapt a book by Whitney Houston's production company. In 1998, Camille flew solo and landed at Intermedia Films were she read many screenplays and wrote lots of coverage, then at Humble Journey Films, the production company of Eriq La Salle, Dr. Benton from NBC's Emmy-winning drama, ER. There, Camille was promoted to Director of Development.
Camille is head consultant, teacher and coach at The Script Righter, where she works with writers to write their best Hollywood script ever. Currently, Camille is thoroughly excited about the new romantic comedy she has just completed. Additionally, while pursuing her masters degree, she is working on two writer-for-hire assignments and penning a book.
With a heart for giving back to the community and working with youth, Camille teaches storytelling/filmmaking at The Harambee School and serves on the board of the Diamond in the Raw Foundation. contact: camille@thescriptrighter.com
Keta Brown - VP Marketing, Development & Production
A graduate of Fisk University with a background in art, desgin and business, Keta began as a tenacious, street smart producer in public access cable. Keta got her start as a political fundraiser, overseeing prestigious events involving some of California's top politicians. She continued the fundraising spirit in the non-profit arena as an event coordinator for the March of Dimes. But, the producing bug called her and she answered by producing the Ziggy Marley Live Concert for HBO. Before coming to Script Righter, Keta worked for five years as Director of Marketing & Sales at GMT studios, a full service soundstage facility in Culver City, CA. She has produced found independent short films, including SPIN, directed by Tamika Lamison and LAYLA, directed by Lydia Martinelli. Both are award-winning shorts that toured the film festival circuit.
